It’s a Wisteria season, and I have been on the hunt for London homes that show off this marvellous plant in all its glory. It is impossible to resist these beautiful flowers with their enchanting scent, delicate petals and whimsical charm that make them hard to miss among other plants.
When is the best time to chase the wisteria blossom in London?
The month of May is a great time to enjoy the wisteria blooms. They typically start as early as the end of April, depending on how warm it’s been and when they peak, primarily on the amount of sun that each blossom receives. If you’re looking for where your nearest Wisteria trees are located, Instagram is another fantastic way to discover them! I had arrived ten days too early to photograph, and they looked empty on the wall.
Where can I see Wisteria in bloom in London
Kensington and Chelsea, walk to Elm and Sumner Place, Cheyne Walk, Bedford Gardens in Notting Hill with the pink door house are you best bet. But there are other places like Golders Hill Park in Hampstead Heath, Peckham Rye Park.
The Wisteria I encountered seemed less chased than the cherry blossom. There were only one or two influencers on my way to photograph them, which was a pleasant surprise!
Spring is finally here, and it’s time to plan your next visit to London. If you haven’t been in a while, this is the perfect season for a trip! In celebration of all things blossoming in London, I thought I would share some favourite places where you can chase wisteria flowers while they last. Share your best places to pursue the Wisteria.
